Like all great ideas, Gravity Boxes started in a garage. In the beginning, there was no name, logo, or even the idea of a store. Gravity Boxes, like a ghostwriter, was an unknown extension of online auctions and eBay sellers, hidden behind the scenes, packing and shipping your precious items.

Before we started packing, we were raised at auctions and antique markets. Fostered by the hands of auction galleries, fine art dealers, and collectors alike, we grew with a deep understanding and hands-on experience of the finest items collectors dream of.

Decades later, we transitioned into shipping and packing departments for online auction and eBay sellers. We pride ourselves on the care we take to safely pack your items. We knew the biggest and riskiest part of these precious items' journey would fall on our shoulders. If shipping failed, the items' journey to their next owner would never be fulfilled. Arguably, shipping is the most important part of the process of transitioning ownership. We accepted the challenge and became the best packers for antiquities and fine arts.

With a zero-risk tolerance, we have ensured the safe delivery of hundreds of thousands of items while maintaining a near-perfect record. Eventually, it was time to move forward. We became an independent shipping company in 2019, serving online auction houses. We understood the importance of convenience, price, and time for auction bidders and slowly built our own in-house software applications to optimize the shipping process. We quickly became the fastest shipping quote generator for auctions, surpassing UPS stores and private shipping stores by 1,000%.

As we grew, we opened our first public location in Saugerties, NY, a great hub of antiquities in the Hudson Valley, in November of 2022. Today, we stand as the Hudson Valley's authorized FedEx Ship Center and USPS provider. We continue to provide our expertise in packaging and shipping antiques and unique items to all.
